The Dellys! This is THE event of the year, and this is not your average blog post. I captured some audio clips during the awards ceremony, you can listen to the acceptance speeches and of course TWAN...
Thank you Dellwood Disc Golf for hosting another very memorable season. Without you, I don't know where most of us would be. You bring the community together in such a big way. As the photographer for your events, it has been such a pleasure to capture all of the ups, downs and everything in between.
In 2014 when I photographed the grand opening of The Canyons I never imagined that it would turn into this.
I think that we can all agree that THIS has become something far bigger than ourselves. While we are so excited for the future of your events, we are just as excited being here to enjoy the moment.

Some moments strike you more than others. Seeing Paul McCallister receive the Retro Active Delly struck me differently. Even just editing the photos brought tears to my eyes. The thing is I think you never really know the impact of your life on others, and when Paul received this award you could really sense that.
Everything Paul did for our disc golf community when he was heavily involved in the sport in the 80s and 90s was a way of living life, and it had a ripple effect that is part of our community today... in every way.
In his speech he mentioned getting an ace at his first tournament. Moments like that stick with you in ways more than we know, and I think that he really created that feeling for others throughout his entire life by designing courses and building the disc golf scene. Thank you, Paul!

Big shout out to Brian Cummings for DJ-ing! Thank you for literally bringing the CDs. You might notice some of these photographs have some cool looking rainbows. That is because I used Brian’s CD’s the reflect light.
I especially enjoy photographing The Delly’s because it is something different, out of my comfort zone and it is so much fun to just focus on little slivers of light.
The multiples of TWAN… that was actually real. He multiplied, multiple times. If you didn’t get your ticket to this year’s event you will have to attend next year to see it live.
