HARMONY BENDS
Harmony Bends at Strawn Park in Columbia, MO, was designed by John Houck and was established in 2016. This championship level course has since been considered one of the best disc golf courses in the world. Course photos by Lauren Lakeberg.
LAKE PITTSFIELD DGC
Lake Pittsfield Disc Golf Course in Grggsville, IL, was established in 2019 by the local community group Picture Pittsfield, and was designed by Dave McCormack. This 18-hole course features two baskets on every hole, rolling hills and views of Lake Pittsfield. Course photos by Lauren Lakeberg.
FOX RUN MEADOWS
Fox Run Meadows at Smugglers’ Notch Resort was designed by Jeff Spring and Steve Brinster in 2013. It is one of two 18-hole championship level disc golf courses at Smugglers’ Notch Resort and has been the hosting site of several Disc Golf Pro Tour tournaments and the PDGA World Championships.
BREWSTER RIDGE SMUGGLERS’ NOTCH
Brewster Ridge at Smugglers’ Notch Resort has been named the #4 disc golf course in the world according to UDisc and has been a top-10 disc golf course for over six years. This is a disc golf destination course you don’t want to miss.
HICKORY HILLS DISC GOLF COURSE
Established in 1999. Hickory Hills Disc Golf Course features two 18-hole layouts here. It is also an active ski resort, so you can expect elevation! If you come here around July 4th the Traverse City Cherry Festival will be going on, it is known world-wide.
TIMBER RIDGE SKI RESORT
Timber Ridge Ski Resort is a permanently closed 18-hole disc golf course in Gobles, MI. It was notably known as the location that hosted the 2009 PDGA World Championships and the 2015 Amature World Championships. The photos below are from both World Championships.
WEST LAKE PARK
West Lake Park in Davenport, IA, is a 24-hole championship level course notably known for hosting the annual River City Rumble.
It was established in 2007 and was designed by Chad Eng. It is hilly and partially wooded with lots of water. Camping is also available onsite.
BLUE VALLEY PARK
The Blue Valley Park Championship Course in Kansas City, MO, was established in 2005 and designed by Jack Lowe, Jim Kreeger and Dan Cashen.
This 18-hole course is very long, hilly and moderately wooded. It was the home of the 2009 PDGA World Championship finals, and many stops on the PDGA tour.
KESSLER PARK CLIFF DRIVE
Cliff Drive Disc Golf course in Kansas City, MO, was established in 2004 and designed by Jack Lowe. It is 21 holes that plays around the old municipal reservoir and is one of the highest points in the city. It features a mix of long open shots and technical woods.
ROSEDALE PARK DOWN UNDER
Rosedale Park Down Under was established in 1997. It is one of two disc courses in Rosedale Park, Kansas City, MO. It is 18 holes, very heavily wooded and hilly.
WATER WORKS Park
Water Works Park in Kansas City, MO, was established in 1997 and was designed by Ace Mason and Jim Kreeger. It is 18-holes of extreme elevation and moderate woods. Hole 1 has a perfect view of the Kansas City skyline.
THE LODGE ISLAND COURSE
The Lodge at Taylor Ranch Island Course was designed by Kevin McCoy in 2007. This is a pro level course moderately hilly and moderately wooded.
THE CANYONS MAY 2023
The Canyons Disc Golf Course is Illinois’ number one rated course. The course was established in 2014 and was designed by Sean Callahan and Steve Matul. It features 27 different holes throughout a historical, scenic park with infinite options of Blue, White, and Red tees on most holes. There are Permanent A and B pin locations on a majority of the holes giving you endless ways to enjoy this beautiful course! These are the course photos captured in May 2023.
2023 GJTSTDTC
The Greater Joliet Tour Series Tournament Director Team Challenge presented by Dellwood Disc Golf, aka the GJTSTDTC, is such a vibe thing! Four teams: Green, Blue, Red and Black all compete in a match-play style tournament for bragging rights. Funds raised from this event go towards local course improvements.
