Clash at The Canyons V

This year’s Clash at The Canyons was unlike anything else, and to say this modestly, it was one of the best finishes I have ever seen in the MPO field. The event itself was fantastic. Dellwood Disc Golf went above and beyond to get this event to be a Silver Series on the Disc Golf Pro Tour.

Competitors came to play this event from all around the world. Kristin Tattar, PDGA #73986, who won FPO came all the way from Estonia and it was her birthday weekend!

As if there weren’t enough fireworks (being the 4th of July), a local favorite won in MPO, Dan Schlitter PDGA #80219. I told a few people this, but honestly watching Dan win was one of the best finishes I have ever seen in my career as a photographer. He’s a local and knows the course well, but to have it come down to a one-hole sudden death playoff against Terry Rothlisberger on the toughest hole on the course, it was humbling.
