GJTS TDTC 2022
This is the 2nd annual Greater Joliet Tour Series Tournament Director Team Challenge brought to you by Leo Borowski (DiscTV), Sean Callahan (Dellwood Disc Golf), Ryan Fancher (Unstable Disc Golf Gear) and Thor Batchelor. Each tournament director had a choice of which course project they wanted to fund from the proceeds of this event, and they all chose Channahon — but they played for bragging rights.
Teams were chosen at the draft held at Hells Gate Haunted House a few weeks ago. It was a match play style event with a mix of Uppers, Lowers, Women, Masters and Grandmasters. The photographs below were taken at Trinity Links Disc Golf Course during the final 9 holes, but both Trinity Links and the Highland Park courses were utilized this weekend.
Thor Batchelor’s team (Team Black) came in first this year, Dellwood Disc Golf has the full results available. The best thing about this event is that everyone wins! Because the proceeds from this are going towards new baskets, tee pads and course maintenance at Channahon Community Park, a course that has been in the ground since 1982!
