It is such an honor to announce that the first issue of Dellwood Magazine is available for pre-orders now, just in time for Dellwood Disc Golf’s anniversary April 1st (they opened April 1, 2017). In many ways this has been a passion project, I have wanted to create a magazine for years! Our local disc golf community in Illinois, specifically the J-Town area, has such a rich history.

The History of the Illinois State Championships. This year will be the 40th anniversary of the championships. Jessee Saenz, Jr. wrote an article about it and interviewed Paul McCalister (the original tournament director and West Park disc golf course designer), and Gary Lewis (Disc Golf Hall of Fame Member) who took over the tournament director duties after Paul.
An interview with Leo “Doc” Borowski. This article outline’s Doc’s life within disc golf, how he brought DiscTV to the national television scene in 2002, and his professional life as an audio engineer. Disc Golf means something to everyone, to Doc “this is my life.”
Behind the Scenes at Dellwood Disc Golf. As a tournament director and disc golf pro shop owner, Sheila Callahan shares her knowledge with us of the trials, tribulations and what it means to her to provide disc golf to our local community.
