VAN HORN WOODS DISC GOLF COURSE PLAINFIELD, IL

If you have not heard, we are on a Dana Vicich course design tour this year. Just kidding… but Dana has designed a lot of courses in Illinois and beyond.

We recently played some of his latest course designs at Starved Rock and The Quarry (both are incredible but if you need to pick one in the Starved Rock area check out The Quarry for the views!).

You can check out Dana’s full course design list here.

Special thanks to Werk Force Brewing for the support in making this course happen! Werk Force Brewing is a great spot to get a beverage and is only an 8 minute drive from this course.

Van Horn Woods in Plainfield, IL, is the latest DiscGolfPark to join the growing list of courses in the Greater Joliet area. This 9-hole course is very technical through thick woods. It will challenge you, and so will the mosquitos, so be sure to bring bug spray.

We really enjoyed playing here in the late afternoon testing out the lines. They did a great job making this course look the way it does, all of that mulch and so many tiny details did not go unnoticed. It’s beautiful!

Chris parked hole 4, 4 feet from the basket for birdie!

I started to get in the zone and play the course for holes 5-9, and forgot to get the tee signs here!
