The Dog Bowl is one of our favorite events of the year. It’s a vibe thing. Now in it’s fourth year it feels so bittersweet because we are so familiar with reconnecting with the Will County Humane Society and J-Town Disc Golf Club at the Old Oak Country Club.

This year the J-Town Disc Golf club raised over $6,600 for the Will County Humane Society in Illinois.

There is nothing like the World Championships. You can feel it in the air. Seeing the pro disc golfers for the first time, and how approachable all of them were projected my life and the will document this sport as much as I have.

The Sooner Park Disc Golf Course in Bartlesville, OK, was established in 1995 and was designed by Doug Schwegman and Dale Patterson.

This 18-hole course is mostly open with small rolling hills (the back 9 is more technical). There are two baskets on every hole. Course photos by Lauren Lakeberg.

Safari Smiles is an 18-hole DiscGolfPark in Bartlesville, IL. It was established in 2021 and was designed by Avery Jenkins.

“This is the 3rd DiscGolfPark established in the state of Oklahoma and the 33th DiscGolfPark installed in the United States. This course was founded and full funded by Dr. Jon Lindblom of the Safari Smiles Children's Dentistry.” Course photos by Lauren Lakeberg.

Harmony Bends at Strawn Park in Columbia, MO, was designed by John Houck and was established in 2016. This championship level course has since been considered one of the best disc golf courses in the world. Course photos by Lauren Lakeberg.

Lake Pittsfield Disc Golf Course in Grggsville, IL, was established in 2019 by the local community group Picture Pittsfield, and was designed by Dave McCormack. This 18-hole course features two baskets on every hole, rolling hills and views of Lake Pittsfield. Course photos by Lauren Lakeberg.

West Park in Rockdale, IL, is one of Illinois’ oldest disc golf courses and is very close to Joliet, IL. Originally designed by Paul McCalister in 1979 as 26-holes. It was re-designed in 2018 to be 18-holes.
